Venice Harmsen.H is the founder of Jah Naturals Hand-crafted Body Care. After
traveling throughout Europe for quite some time, she has now settled in sunny Brisbane, Queensland. It
all began when Venice developed a serious skin disorder on her hands a few years ago.
The multiple trips to doctors and chemists were efforts in vein. Very soon it became more
prevalent to Venice that there had to be something more out there for her incredibly itchy
and red irritated hands.
She began to research the possible natural alternatives to the vast array of chemicals used
today in skin, body and hair care preparations as all the commercial Cleaning & Beauty
products that she was using would instantly set off scratching rampages. During the course
of her research she was often stunned and very disappointed at the amount of misleading
labels such as 'natural' or 'organic' on many retail products.” Natural is the buzzword in the
beauty biz these days” says Venice. “Cosmetic labels brandish the products' natural
ingredients in bold face type, but the list of ingredients often tells a different story”!
As her knowledge of chemicals increased, so did her realization that many so-called 'natural'
ingredients were not quite so.
Maybe they were 'natural' to start with or at the very least derived from something
'natural' but were chemically modified to a state which now made them a systemic danger to
people’s health. She began to work more closely with essential oils and butters and soon came up
with a magical remedy for her punished hands. On the first application of her wonderful Original Whipped Shea Butter she was able to finally have relief from her tormented hands, which finally
helped her to a complete night’s sleep. Everyone that knew her was benefiting from her
natural recipes & herbal knowledge. After many requests from friends and neighbors Venice
started a small business from her kitchen selling moisturizers, body scrubs, bath soaks and
bath milks of the highest quality at a modest price. All her products are produced in small
batches by hand to maintain the home style level of personal energy in each container.
Venice still insists that all products are of the highest quality, she is very selective about
the purity and integrity of the ingredients used in all her products and would like to give
others the opportunity to benefit from them as well.
